Meet the Founder
My name is Isabella Clark
Otherwise known as IC, founder of IC Hair — a professional braiding and loc-focused brand built on precision, care, and intention.
My passion for hair began at just nine years old, and by 15, I officially started my business. What began as braiding classmates’ hair before school, after school, and whenever I could quickly grew into a full-time career. I worked my way from home-based clients to a nail salon in Everett at 16, then into a barbershop at 17 — building my clientele purely through consistency, quality, and trust.
In October, I signed the lease for my private suite, marking a major milestone in my journey and allowing me to provide an elevated, professional experience for every client.
IC Hair is rooted in scalp health, clean parts, gentle tension, and long-lasting results. I specialize in working with tender-headed clients, children and teens, first-time braid clients, athletes, creatives, and individuals who may have had negative experiences in the past. My goal is not only to meet expectations — but to ease anxiety, restore confidence, and protect the health of your hair.
Known for my gentle hands, structured process, and clear communication, I take pride in creating a space where clients feel comfortable, seen, and cared for from start to finish.
In addition to services, IC Hair also offers 1-on-1 education and mentorship for aspiring braiders and locticians who want to learn the craft the right way — with professionalism, intention, and longevity in mind.
IC Hair represents more than just my initials.
It stands for Isabella Clark, “I see” hair, and “icy” hair — meaning precision, clarity, and doing the work at the highest level.
IC Hair — The Coldest.
